2nd round of Walton National Cricket League to start Friday

The second round of Walton National Cricket League's 19th edition will be started at several venues across the country on Friday (September 22).

First round of the Walton IOT Smart Fridge 19th National Cricket League (NCL) 2017-2018 ended on Monday (September 18).

In the first round of the list-A four-day-match league, defending champions Khulna Division played Rangpur Division in a Tier-1 match at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna while Dhaka Division faced Barisal Division in another Tier-1 match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground in Cox's Bazar.

In the two matches of the Tire-2, Dhaka Metropolis faced Chittagong Division at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and Rajshahi Division met Sylhet Division at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.

Eight teams are participating in the league. Bottom team of the tier-1 will be relegated to tier-2 and table topper of tier-2 will be promoted to tier-1. Five venues around the country will hold the NCL matches, which has started from September 15.
